The comedians behind Shaun of the Dead, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, reunite to play two comic-book geeks who go on a road trip across America and run into an alien named Paul outside top-secret military base Area 51. Having been captive for the last 60 years, Paul has escaped, and asks the travellers for help to get back to his mother ship. With federal agents and the fanatical father of a girl they've accidentally kidnapped in hot pursuit, they embark on a fumbling plan. A hilariously tongue-in-cheek take on the UFO sci-fi genre for those preferring laughs over frights.
This film contains strong bad language and sex references.
