Synopsis

A bunch (or gang, as they would see it) of South London teenagers who reckon they're fairly tough find their tower block under attack from deadly aliens, in this fast, sharp and funny sci-fi horror film. It was directed by Joe Cornish of Adam & Joe fame, but don’t expect a film played just for laughs - there's lots of inventive action and plenty of scares, too, along with some great dialogue. The film makes excellent use of the tower block setting and it’s good for a change to see a film in which the kids in hoodies are the heroes.

What our educators say

"Some of them saw a clip from Wakolda (The German Doctor) on TV recently and really wanted to watch it. So I thought I’d take a chance, not expecting them to watch the whole film but the majority were absolutely gripped. "
