Synopsis

A brave, young monster hunts for the legendary Big Bad Mouse in this charming and witty animated sequel to the Oscar-nominated short The Gruffalo. Though her dad’s warned her about going into the deep, dark wood, the young Gruffalo is determined not to be frightened - even when tracks in the snow lead her to a trio of creatures she’s never seen before. The snake, owl, and fox add to the worrying description of the elusive rodent, making her surprised that the mouse she actually encounters is snack-sized, rather than scary! Yet despite being tiny, the furry fella’s got a clever trick up his sleeve that will teach the Gruffalo’s Child an amusing lesson, and save him from her tummy.

What our educators say

"It really is a chance for us to open children's minds to the power of film not just as a vehicle for entertainment but also as a way in to understanding their own world and the worlds of people whose lives are very different."
