Synopsis

Disney documentary tracking two species of big cats living in Kenya's Masai Mara reserve. Sita is a cheetah with five newborns, while Mara is a lion cub whose mother is getting old and frail. Despite being at the top of the food chain, life isn't always easy for these majestic beasts who must struggle to find food, care for their young and protect themselves against rivals. The stories of these feline families are heart-rending as well as educational, and the cinematography is impressive.

What our educators say

"Some of them saw a clip from Wakolda (The German Doctor) on TV recently and really wanted to watch it. So I thought I’d take a chance, not expecting them to watch the whole film but the majority were absolutely gripped. "
