Not for the fainthearted, this emotionally harrowing disaster drama sees a couple and their three sons embark on a vacation in Thailand, looking forward to a break in a tropical paradise. But on the morning after Christmas, while they are relaxing around the pool, a huge roar heralds the onset of a tsunami. Along with tens of thousands of strangers, they battle the mayhem of one of the worst natural catastrophes of our time. The film does not rely solely on spectacle and tense thrills - expertly developing character and atmosphere, it has won praise for its tremendous realism.
Contains natural disaster scenes, moderate injury detail and brief nudity
