Synopsis

Into Film and Encounters Short Film Festival teamed up to present a selection of short films suitable for children ages 7+, chosen by young people. After one full day of programming a group of young people narrowed down over 20 films to an exciting one-hour programme of films featuring a variety of animation and live action. From a milk-obsessed cat, a missing polar bear, a bullied nerd who gets his own back and a comedy western, to a bird afraid of flying, a robot on the run, lost toys on an adventure and fighting painters. There is lots of fun, silliness and intrigue that proves just how great short films can be.

Films in this programme are:

Milk

Polar Where?

Paulie

The Good the Bad and a Horse

Fear of Flying

Run Zoom Run

Macropolis

Barbouageville

The Smortleybacks

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "

- Mark Ellis, Teacher, ChristChurch C of E Primary School, London
