Synopsis

Into Film and Encounters Short Film Festival have teamed up to create another programme of short films for young people. Over one day, a group of young people watched over 20 films to narrow them down to an exciting 60-minute programme suitable for ages 7+. This year’s selection is a brilliant mix of live action and animation from around the world, including cheeky animals, dinosaurs, an ode to black-and-white cinema, a girl coping with grief, new friendships and a madcap view of the planets. From the silly to the thoughtful there is something for everyone.

The films in this collection are:

Cartoon Away

Blue Blue Sky

Frenemy

Carpark

The Lost World

Silent

Ravi & Jane

Missing U

The Planets

What our educators say

"It really is a chance for us to open children's minds to the power of film not just as a vehicle for entertainment but also as a way in to understanding their own world and the worlds of people whose lives are very different."
