This mystery-drama set in 1969 sees Jasper Jones, a mixed race teenage outcast, find a dead body in his rural town. Worried that the community will accuse him of the crime, he visits a local boy named Charlie Bucktin one night and pleads for Charlie to help him investigate in order to find the real killer. Believing Jasper’s version of events, Charlie joins him and together they embark on a dangerous journey to prove him innocent. This is an Australian coming-of-age story, set across the scorching summer, adapted from the celebrated novel of the same name.
