Synopsis

When Mary is visited by an angel who tells her she will give birth to the Messiah, a mouse named Abby overhears and tells the other animals of this incredible news. Bo, a small but brave donkey, has grown tired of his work at the village mill, and manages to escape with the help of his father. He ends up at the house of Mary and Joseph, and together they all leave Nazareth and head to Bethlehem to prepare for the birth of Jesus. Elsewhere, the three wise men and their camels arrive at the home of King Herod who learns of the new King, sending his head soldier and two dogs to find and kill him. This is a comedic animated adventure which provides a fun spin on the nativity story.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
