Synopsis

The second chapter of this epic confrontation between good and evil occurs twenty-seven years after the original film saw a group of small town high-schoolers defeat the evil entity known as It, a creature preying and feeding on fear who often takes the shape of Pennywise, a menacing clown. Shifting between the 1980s and the modern day, the gang known as The Losers’ Club are now adults, still battling with their own fears and insecurities. When Mike Hanlon, working as a librarian in the modern day, contacts each of them after a spate of grisly killings, they reunite in order to do battle once more with Pennywise and vanquish the monstrous entity once and for all. Playfully scary but also infused with themes of memory, fear and friendship, the second instalment of this Stephen King adaptation concludes one of the most popular horror films of recent times.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
