The sequel to one of the most popular horror films of recent years has finally arrived, with Pennywise the Clown back in town to terrorise The Loser's Club all over again.
After defeating the fearsome entity known as It twenty-seven years previously, The Loser's Club, a gang of misfits who formed a tight bond as youngsters are reunited in their hometown of Derry, Maine when the mysterious murders begin again. Desperate to finally put an end to the evil that has been growing under their feet, they set out to face their fears and vanquish It once and for all.
Akeem Sharp is a Jamaican sprinter who the sporting community have high hopes for, believing that he could very well be the next track-and-field sensation. However, his dream is threatened by his unpredictable brother and father. Akeem's mother, however, has lived for over a decade as an illegal immigrant in the US, supporting the family with her income, and Akeem hopes that his burgeoning sporting career will allow them to be reunited in this hard-hitting drama.
Lastly, this visually arresting animated feature from France, a sequel to the heartwarming 2013 film Minuscule: Lost Valley of the Ants, follows an adventurous young ladybird and his best friend, a clumsy ant. When the ladybird is accidentally shipped away in a cardboard box to the Caribbean, the ant must get an insect team together and sets out to rescue him. Free of dialogue and wonderfully inventive with its imagery, this is a children's film with a unique and charming style.
The biggest box-office smash of all time makes its way to DVD as the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Iron Man and Captain America conclude their Infinity Saga. For those who haven't seen it, expect heroic twists and turns on a grand scale and for educators, this is a a great opportunity to revisit one of the biggest Hollywood films of all time and dig into the themes of what it means to be a hero and the sacrifices we all have to make.
Lastly, this groundbreaking concert film offers a window into the past. Unreleased for many years, Amazing Grace captures the live recording of Aretha Franklin's best-selling gospel album. Shot in 1972 inside a church in Watts, Los Angeles, the renowned ‘Queen of Soul' delivers a captivating performance of some of her biggest hits to an audience of church-goers and famous musical guests. This piece of musical history highlights the late singer's force and the unique experience of live music, while also touching on themes of archive and the documentary format.
