Synopsis

This lovely stop-motion animation short takes place underground, in the home of a group of badgers practicing traditional Morris-dancing. Above them there is a quarantine facility for animals that they are told to avoid. When one of their elders passes away, a young badger inherits the role of accordion player. Unsure of how to play, he ventures outside and discovers the caged animals, realising it’s time for them to help their neighbours. This quirky story discusses the role of community and the meaning of solitary and teamwork.

What our educators say

"It really is a chance for us to open children's minds to the power of film not just as a vehicle for entertainment but also as a way in to understanding their own world and the worlds of people whose lives are very different."
