Synopsis

After escaping Tweedy’s farm and achieving the happy ending that they always longed for, chickens Ginger, Rocky and their friends have settled down to life on an idyllic island where they can live in chicken bliss. However, Ginger and Rocky’s daughter Molly has a similar adventurous spirit to her mother and longs to explore the outside world, especially the nearby chicken funland. Unaware of the potential danger that awaits her, Molly decides to take matters into her own hands and venture beyond the island’s peaceful borders, meaning her parents and the rest of the chickens must band together and confront their past in order to save her. This animated, stop-motion sequel to a beloved British children’s film promises to appeal to old and new fans whilst also touching upon themes of family, community and growing up.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
