The school day promises to be just another average few hours for the kids at the unnamed American high school of Elephant - but ends in violence and death. Inspired by 1999's real-life Columbine shootings, this unsettling drama is a fictional account of what happens when two students open fire on their fellow pupils without warning. Time rolls back to reveal the final few hours in the lives of both the killers and their victims - with events then replayed from all the key characters' perspectives, until the past becomes the present and the movie's tragic climax unfolds.
This film has several uses of strong bad language and strong violence
