Synopsis

1950s California is the setting for this joyous high school musical which follows a dizzy teen romance. Leather-jacketed Danny is a rebel - but Sandy is a goody-two-shoes. When their summer fling comes to an end, they think they'll never see each other again - until they bump into each other at school! The songs come thick and fast in this celebration of rock 'n' roll America, with its drive-in movies, school dances, and hot rod races. But do you reckon Sandy and Danny will stand a chance?

What our educators say

"Some of them saw a clip from Wakolda (The German Doctor) on TV recently and really wanted to watch it. So I thought I’d take a chance, not expecting them to watch the whole film but the majority were absolutely gripped. "
