How does a slacker get his head round the financial necessity of a job? That's the dilemma facing unemployed rock guitarist Dewey Finn in this vibrant and uplifting comedy. Deciding to masquerade as a supply teacher at an exclusive private school, he proceeds to educate the privileged pupils on the joys of rock. But the kids have such musical talent that Dewey is convinced they can help him return to the spotlight. So instead of regular lessons, the youngsters form a group - which Dewey then secretly enters in a prestigious 'Battle of the Bands'.
