Synopsis

Scientist Robert Neville may well be the last man left alive on Earth after a terrible epidemic. Living in a deserted and eerie New York City, Neville has all the open space he could wish for, not to mention everything that's been left behind in the abandoned shops, but no-one apart from his faithful dog to share them with. By night, his problems get worse because that's when the "vampires" the epidemic has created emerge onto the streets. Set in a New York where weeds and wild animals have consumed the city's sidewalks, this is a powerful and exciting adaptation of the cult Richard Matheson novel.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
