This hilarious comedy western is set in a small town called Ridge Rock, which a villainous developer wants to destroy to make way for a railway. He thinks that if he appoints an African-American sheriff, the white townspeople - who are blessed with neither brains or tolerance - will revolt. But the new sheriff Bart and his deputy, the Waco Kid, are more than a match for them. The film is both charming and crude, with non-stop jokes. It also has one of the most over-the-top endings ever filmed and has gone on to become one of the most influential American comedies ever made.
Contains mouthed strong language, moderate sex references and racist terms.
