Synopsis

Jane Austen's comedy of manners Emma gets a valley girl update with Alicia Silverstone as Cher, a so-not-an-airhead who struggles with love and life at high school in this classic teen comedy. Cher is a spoilt only child living in a Beverly Hills mansion who finds much to improve in the lives and relationships of the people who surround her- from her impatient businessman father to her pet project, new girl at school Tai. Despite her total confidence in knowing what's best for others, Cher lacks self-awareness when it comes to her own heart. While working as a sharp parody of the likes of hugely popular 90s TV show Beverly Hills 90210, Clueless is also a warm and witty comedy full of sympathetic characters, endlessly quotable dialogue and iconic fashion.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
