This comedy-drama was considered daring in its time. A white middle-class woman brings her fiancé home, and her supposedly liberal father struggles to deal with the fact that his daughter's husband-to-be is black. What puts the spotlight on prejudice is that John Prentice is the perfect catch: handsome, intelligent, and a doctor. It is an entertaining and insightful film, remaining relevant to the present day.
This film has a couple of uses of mild bad language
