Morvern Callar, a bored young Scottish woman working at the local supermarket, wakes up one morning to find that her boyfriend has committed suicide. But instead of reporting his death, she puts her name to the manuscript of the novel that he's written and sends it to a publisher. She then takes money from his bank account and travels to Ibiza with a friend to join the party scene. Then things really start to unravel. Some truly dreamlike visuals help echo the heroine's strange and ambiguous journey.
This film contains moderate nudity and suicide references.
