Synopsis

The first of the big-screen outings for the Muppets tells the almost-true story of how Kermit, Miss Piggy and friends came to be the huge international superstars they are now. Kermit dreams of fame and fortune - so leaves his swamp and travels across America to reach Hollywood. On his travels he meets the other Muppets, and a host of other characters, all while trying to avoid the evil Doc Hopper - who wants him to appear in an advert for his frog's legs restaurant! But will Kermit get his chance to be a star?

What our educators say

"It really is a chance for us to open children's minds to the power of film not just as a vehicle for entertainment but also as a way in to understanding their own world and the worlds of people whose lives are very different."

- Marlon Perkins, Teacher, Whitstable and Seasalter Endowed CofE Junior School, Kent
