Synopsis

In this handsome and very moving tale of courage and romance in wartime from the team that made Amelie, a young French woman's greatest battle is about to begin as the First World War is coming to an end. Mathilde finds out that her fiance has been court-martialed and has been pushed out of the trenches to certain death in no-mans land. So begins her quest to find out what happened to her true love before he met his cruel fate - and if there is even the slightest chance that he might still be alive.
