As super-suave super-spy James Bond, star Roger Moore sometimes had a tendency to lodge his tongue a little too firmly in his cheek. In The Spy Who Loved Me, though, the cheesy gags aren't overdone at the expense of action. The story involves a megalomaniac villain bent on destroying the world of course, but the opening ski-chase sequence, a car-cum-submarine to rival the iconic 007 Aston Martin and the scary metal-toothed Jaws (Richard Kiel, in the running for Best Henchman Ever) mean there are more than enough great moments here to make it one of Moore's best Bond outings.
This film contains moderate action violence, mild language and sex.
