In this ingenious crime thriller, Al Pacino is an LA cop in Alaska investigating the murder of a 17-year-old girl. However, he is under a lot of stress due to an impending internal affairs investigation over some alleged falsifying of evidence in the past, and as he gets closer to the killer he becomes increasingly disorientated by the permanent daylight of the Alaskan summer. Famous 'Method' man Al Pacino really does look like he's been up for days, such are his hangdog looks, and Robin Williams ditches his usual sentimentality to put in a brilliantly creepy performance as the number-one suspect.
A private detective believes he is investigating a straight-up adultery case when he stumbles onto something much bigger.
