The titular, lovable loser from Charles M. Schulz's legendary comic-strip series Peanuts stars in his first movie. Peppered with musical numbers and spiked with splashes of 1960s psychedelic colour, this animated tale sees Charlie enter a school spelling bee competition. Thanks to his canine pal Snoopy, the neurotic nipper unexpectedly but confidently cruises through to the national championship which is when he finds himself faced with the self-doubt and desperation that constantly plagues him. From its charmingly simple art style to a script that's packed with wonderful snippets of wit and wisdom courtesy of its precocious kid cast, it's easy to see why this cartoon has so many fans.
Disney mix of live action and animation about an orphan whose best friend is a magical dragon.
