As we celebrate our 10th anniversary, we're proud to launch an incredible new filmmaking initiative, Every Child a Filmmaker.
Every Child a Filmmaker is a manifesto and commitment to give every child the opportunity to bring their ideas to life through film, a familiar medium that they have grown up with and engage with every day.
This new initiative was launched at a special fundraising event on 1 November, which saw funding provided by generous donors from across the screen industries, and beyond. Speaking at the event were Into Film CEO Paul Reeve, Into Film Chair and Co-Chairman of Working Title Films Eric Fellner, and three young people who we have worked with over the years, who have already gone on to achieve incredible things in the film industry.
Ben Hodge (an Into Film Award winner in 2020), Krizzah (an Into Film Ones to Watch winner in 2018) and Krysstina (a former Into Film Reporter) spoke passionately about what film means to them, and the way Into Film helped them embark on a journey with film that has reshaped their lives. Every Child a Filmmaker aims to offer a similarly transformative experience to children and young people across the UK.
Into Film's Every Child A Filmmaker campaign is a wonderfully designed programme to encourage all young people, literally every child in the UK, to express themselves and tell their stories through the powerful medium of film.

Thanks to our generous funders, we're able to support and enable young people to experience the transformational power of filmmaking and screen storytelling. The project will enable under-served children and young people to work closely with professionals to learn the creative and technical filmmaking skills they need to tell their stories, bringing new perspectives and unheard voices to the screen.
Kick-starting the campaign, Amazon MGM Studios, EON Productions and Swatch have come on board as Main Partners, pledging large donations to ignite this worthwhile initiative and invest in the filmmaking fund. In addition, five Programme Partners have also confirmed their support - IMDb, the Wiggin Charitable Foundation, Pinewood and Shepperton Studios, Greg Williams Photography and Eric Fellner, all of whom have made generous donations to help us make every child a filmmaker.
As a company that is passionate about bringing unique and fresh stories to the screen, we are very excited to see the films that are made as part of this project. It's important that young people get opportunities like this to help them build valuable skills needed to succeed in life.

The Every Child A Filmmaker Fund will be awarded to young people and youth groups across the UK via a range of specialist partners, enabling them to gain short film production expertise and at the same time build valuable life skills to support their futures.
Into Film wants to bring the screen industries, educators and parents on this journey so that all children and young people, regardless of where they live, their backgrounds or the challenges they face in their lives, have the opportunity to tell their story through film.
