Mary and the Witch's Flower is the first film from Studio Ponoc - partly made up of animators from the much-loved Studio Ghibli - and based on the children's book 'The Little Broomstick' by Mary Stewart. A red-haired young girl living in the English countryside stumbles upon a magical flower which transports her to a strange faraway land containing a school for wizards and witches in this gentle, fantastical anime.
British filmmaker Andrew Haigh tells an American story in Lean on Pete which sees a teenage boy befriend a racehorse after learning it is to be slaughtered, with the two embarking on a lifechanging journey together across the rural landscapes of the American Northwest; Amy Schumer delivers a typically charismatic performance in I Feel Pretty, a comedy about a woman who discovers body confidence after taking a bump to the head.
Set twenty years after the original film, four teenagers are sucked into a jungle-themed computer game and each becomes their selected avatar upon transportation. Landed with appearances, personalities and skills very different to their own, the four must adjust - and quickly - in order to survive the very real threat of the gaming world in Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.
Walk With Me is a contemplative look at the lives of monks and nuns that study within a secluded monastery in south west France in this documentary on the teachings of Buddhism narrated by Benedict Cumberbatch; Hostiles is a brutal western set in 1892 which sees a renowned army captain reluctantly agree to escort a dying man and his family through dangerous territory and terrain back to their tribal homeland.
