After the highs of winning the World Championships in Pitch Perfect 2, in the third instalment of the franchise the Bellas find themselves split apart and discovering that there aren't job prospects for making music with your mouth. However, when they get the chance to reunite for an overseas USO tour, this group of awesome nerds will come together to make more music - and more questionable decisions - one last time.

After finishing college, the Bellas find themselves living in the real world with real jobs. However, when the opportunity arises to perform on the USO tour, the Bellas will reunite one last time. ‘Pitch Perfect 3' is the biggest, boldest of the films yet from dramatic storylines to action-packed scenes, the narrative is completely out of the box.
Unlike the other films, the audience gets to see much more character developments particularly with Fat Amy (Rebel Wilson) whose dark, mysterious past seems to catch up to her. The film parodies atypical conventions of the action genre in order to create funny moments; the boat scene is a clear example of this. I had hoped this film wouldn't have become washed out and overused but fortunately I don't think it did too much. It had a satisfying ending but didn't leave you wanting another film, anymore and I think it would cross that line.
Rebel Wilson steals the spotlight as Fat Amy becoming one of the main focuses in the narrative and every moment she is on screen is sure to make you laugh. There's a great message of female collaboration and friendship within that I think is particularly important for the young female viewers who are the predominate target audience. Though I wouldn't call it amazing, this light-hearted movie makes for an easy watch, especially if you just want a good laugh. For me the first instalment was easily the best of the three.
