With some strange activity occurring on Mossy Bottom Farm and the surrounding area, Shaun and his fellow sheep stumble upon the cause; an alien who has been in hiding since she crashed on Earth. Despite having no common language, the creatures attempt to communicate and slowly begin to understand each other, while also learning that the alien has the ability to mimic sounds such as laughter and screams.
Shaun and his friends soon realise that the alien, named LU-LA, is attempting to recover her spaceship so that she can return to her home planet and be reunited with her family. However, with Mossingham's alien-hunting agency on their trail, Shaun and LU-LA must act quickly if they are to succeed in their mission!

The Peanut Butter Falcon arrives on screens to tell the story of Zak, a young man with Down Syndrome who escapes from his care home to track down The Salt Water Redneck, who he thinks will help him achieve his dream of becoming a professional wrestler. Shia LeBeouf also stars as his grieving travelling companion in this sweet movie about independence and belonging.
Maleficent: Mistress of Evil is the sequel to 2014's successful dark fantasy film, returning to the kingdom of fairies and magic which is now being divided by a marriage between two warring factions, pulling the rehabilitated witch back to the dark side. And finally, Official Secrets tells the true story of Katharine Gun, a whistle-blower who, in 2003, unearthed a disturbing government conspiracy involving the Iraq War - a timely and important look at recent political history.
New to DVD this week
A Northern Soul
This documentary, which has parallels with the work of Ken Loach, angrily captures the impact of cuts on the community and individuals, complementing a warm, personal, but powerfully complex portrait of the area. Director Sean McAllister spends a year in his hometown of Hull, reflecting on the changes to the area during its time as UK city of culture in 2017, as well as the impact of long-term economic austerity on the area and its residents.

Finally, Late Night is a look into the the difficulties faced by women and minorities in the workplace with Emma Thompson starring as late night chat show host Katherine Newbury who hires the under-qualified but talented Molly Patel in order to satisfy a workplace diversity quota. Funny and stylish, this film also has a lot to say about current professional practices.
