There's something for everyone in this week's new releases. We have a spooky animated sequel; a joyous musical; a slapstick animation live-action hybrid; a feel-good British underdog story; and a timely historical drama for Black History Month.
Safety is of course at the forefront of everyone's mind right now so make sure to check out the specific guidelines for your local cinema before visiting. Meanwhile, many cinemas have used lockdown as an opportunity to improve and renovate their venues so that we can all enjoy the best possible cinema experience.
New in cinemas
The Addams Family 2
After their previous big-screen adventure in which their neighbouring town was led by a reality TV host, this time the ghoulish family are off on a road trip across America. Parents Morticia and Gomez become concerned with how quickly their children are growing up, and so decide to take them on a journey in their haunted camper van - though they soon find themselves out of their element!
New on DVD
In the Heights
Leading four new titles on DVD this week is the musical event of this summer, Lin-Manuel Miranda's In the Heights. Adapted from his stage play which opened on Broadway in 2008, it tells the story of a New York City neighbourhood and the hopes and dreams of the Latin-American community who live within it.

Also new on DVD
Tom & Jerry; Judas and the Black Messiah; Dream Horse
Tom Cat and Jerry Mouse - first created in the 1940s - arrive for a modern big-screen makeover in slapstick animated live-action hybrid Tom & Jerry which sees the mouse cause havoc at a fancy hotel, with his feline nemesis tasked with catching him.
Judas and the Black Messiah tells the story of Fred Hampton and the Black Panther Party in the 1960s as a young criminal, William O'Neal, is coerced by the FBI into infiltrating the political activist group in order to bring down its influential leader.
Last but not least, Dream Horse is another drama based on a true story - this one set in the working-class Welsh valleys - where a barmaid/supermarket worker named Jan decides she wants to challenge the establishment by buying, breeding and training a racehorse, and is determined to make him into a champion runner with the support of her community.
