Respecting Yourself: Growing Around Grief explores the delicate but important areas of bereavement and grief. Through the use of short film, pupils will learn to identify emotions, improve their understanding of bereavement and the grieving process, and develop skills needed to manage the effects of grief.

This resource is suitable to use with young people aged 7-11 in a classroom context. It can be used in pastoral sessions and is linked to the Health and Wellbeing criteria in the PSHE education curriculum, as well as the English curriculum. It consists of teachers' notes with the activity outlines, activity sheets to be used with learners, and the accompanying student-facing Respecting Yourself: Growing Around Grief (7-11) PowerPoint presentation.
