LGBTQ History Month
1 February - 1 March
2022 marks the 50th anniversary of the first official Gay Pride rally march that took place in the UK on 1st July 1972. The date was chosen because it was the first Saturday after the anniversary of the Stonewall Riots which occurred at the Stonewall Inn in Greenwich Village, New York and marked the start of the gay rights campaigns in 1969 and would develop into Pride.
To tie into the theme of Politics in Art for the 2022 LGBT+ HistoryMonth organisation this resource, for use with learners aged 11 and older, looks at clips from feature, documentary and youth-made films to challenge young people to consider how pride can be showcased and shared through art.
Mae 2022 yn nodi 50 mlynedd ers yr orymdaith rali Gay Pride swyddogol gyntaf a gynhaliwyd yn y DU ar 1 Gorffennaf 1972. Dewiswyd y dyddiad oherwydd mai dyma'r dydd Sadwrn cyntaf ar ol y diwrnod nodi Terfysgoedd Stonewall a ddigwyddodd yn y Stonewall
Inn yn Greenwich Village, Efrog Newydd ac a nododd ddechrau'r ymgyrchoedd hawliau hoyw yn 1969 a ddaeth wedyn yn Pride. I gyd-fynd a'r thema Gwleidyddiaeth mewn Celf ar gyfer Mis Hanes LHDT+ 2022, mae'r adnodd hwn, i'w ddefnyddio gyda dysgwyr 11 oed a h?n, yn edrych ar glipiau o ffilmiau nodwedd, dogfennol ac a wnaed gan bobl ifanc i herio pobl ifanc i ystyried sut y gellir arddangos a rhannu balchder drwy gelf.
Mae'r adnodd yn addas iawn ar gyfer cyflwyno agweddau o Addysg Cydberthynas a Rhywioldeb, Celfyddydau Mynegiannol a'r Dyniaethau.
We have developed a large catalogue of educational resources since launching in 2013, and some references and terminology will inevitably have dated as society and language evolves. We are aware of this and will be updating resources when our production schedule allows.
