Synopsis

The second film in Sergio Leone's spaghetti western trilogy (following A Fistful of Dollars and preceding The Good, the Bad and the Ugly) contains all the classic trademarks of the genre: extreme close-ups, pregnant pauses and a soundtrack by Ennio Morricone. Here, Clint Eastwood, as the Man with No Name, teams up with Colonel Mortimer (Lee Van Cleef), and they go in search of a notorious bandit who is planning to rob a bank in El Paso.

What our educators say

"It really is a chance for us to open children's minds to the power of film not just as a vehicle for entertainment but also as a way in to understanding their own world and the worlds of people whose lives are very different."

- Marlon Perkins, Teacher, Whitstable and Seasalter Endowed CofE Junior School, Kent
