During World War Two, Peter is an unhappy child living in London, after being left on the steps of an orphanage by his young mother as a baby. One night some pirates kidnap Peter and take him away to the mysterious and magical Neverland, where he is quickly put to work by the dastardly Blackbeard. Whilst there, he forms an unlikely alliance with an outlaw named James Hook and begins to discover where his destiny may lie. This origins tale is a riot of imagination, adding intriguing twists and dimensions to the much-loved story. Amidst the spectacle, the film retains the childlike wonder and love of adventure that has made JM Barrie’s characters so timeless.
