Following the horrors of World War One, the tales of Winnie the Pooh brought comfort and hope to millions. Having served in the forces and haunted by his experiences, their author and creator A.A. Milne was keen to focus on a lighter, playful side to life. Inspiration came from conversations with his young son Christopher Robin, whose toys inspired the magical world he created. As the books become international sensations, Christopher finds that the eyes of the world are on him. But what will the price of their success be on the family? The film offers a revealing insight into the creation of some of our most beloved stories, as well as an intriguing glimpse into the man behind them and the complex relationship he had with his son.
