Mixed-race teenager Miles Morales is a brilliant student but is struggling to adjust to his recent placement at an elite Brooklyn college, and attempts to deliberately fail tests to get himself thrown out. Preferring to spend time with his uncle over his father, listening to hip-hop and taking trips to the graffiti-filled, abandoned sections of the New York subway together, it’s during one of these trips where he is bitten by a radioactive spider and becomes Spider-Man. After witnessing the death of Peter Parker at the hands of Kingpin, Miles realizes that there are other Spider-Men out there, and teams up with other versions from alternate universes –who are summoned by Kingpin’s invention, the supercollider – to defeat their collective villain. ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’ is a visually dazzling, highly creative spin on the superhero’s story and the many subsequent worlds of his comic book origins.
Moderate fantasy violence, mild threat, injury detail, innuendo.
