Synopsis

This groundbreaking sci-fi classic has been a favourite of both critics and film fans ever since it first came out in 1982. In a rainy and neon-lit Los Angeles of the future, Rick Deckard works as a "blade runner" - a cop whose sole job is to hunt down and terminate four robots in human form known as "replicants." However, the replicants, who have learned to cherish life, will do anything to save themselves. What follows is both a film about the meaning of life itself, and an action-packed thriller full of suspense that will keep you glued firmly to the screen.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
