Into Film Clubs
Find out everything you need to know about starting an Into Film Club.
We only have one new film in cinemas this week but it's a real charmer which is set to be a hit with Into Film audiences, and tells the story of Disney's Christopher Robin featuring A.A. Milne's beloved characters. After Christopher says goodbye to his childhood friends and grows up, his adult life is not what he thought it would be. But when he finds himself reunited with Winnie the Pooh, the two embark on an adventure which leads them back into the Hundred Acre Wood, and reminds Christopher to find joy in his life in this funny, warm family film.
One of the year's most tense and inventive horrors is A Quiet Place, set in a dystopian near-future in which Earth has somehow been invaded by blind alien creatures who respond only to sound. The four members of the Abbott family are among the few survivors of an attack in New York, attempting to live their lives without making any noise whatsoever, using American Sign Language to communicate with one another. But after a tragic event, tensions begin to rise, and the family come under extreme pressure which threatens to tear them apart.
When Amanda and Lily reunite an old friendship in their Connecticut suburb, the spark between the two quickly catches, and Amanda's sinister side fuels Lily to contemplate a murderous plot. The idea soon escalates from theoretical to practical, and the two enlist the help of a local drug dealer to kill Lily's nasty stepfather Mark. Directorial debut Thoroughbreds is a dark, witty thriller which revels in the scheming ways of its wicked teenage protagonists.
Our top picks from each week's new cinema and DVD releases, all in one handy place....
