Into Film Clubs
Find out everything you need to know about starting an Into Film Club.
The 2018 Into Film Festival has now drawn to a close for another year and what a Festival it was! We were proud to welcome nearly half a million students and educators from across the UK, with many of our attendees getting to enjoy the cinema experience for the very first time. We're thrilled to have been able to open up the adventure of seeing films on the big screen to so many.
This year, for the very first time, we launched an audience poll asking young people to vote for their favourite film of the Festival, in collaboration with the British Independent Film Awards. We received hundreds of votes, running the whole gamut of our expertly curated Festival programme, ranging from Hollywood blockbusters to British documentaries. Well, the scores are now in, and while films like A Beautiful Planet and Mary and the Witch's Flower proved very popular with our young audience, the winning film is contemporary sing-a-long favourite, The Greatest Showman!
We're delighted that 'The Greatest Showman' has won the 2018 Into Film Festival Best of the Fest Award, particularly as it was voted for by pupils across the UK, illustrating how well the film continues to resonate with young audiences.

As well as screenings all over the UK, the Festival held a number of exciting and unique The Greatest Showman events, from the always-jubilant sing-a-long screenings, through to an event at Kinema in the Woods with an organ introduction, and another with a workshop from big-top experts, Circus Acts.
For all those that didn't manage to catch The Greatest Showman at this year's Festival, fear not! The fan favourite is also showing as part of our series of Spring Screenings, which this year take place in February 2019, and have been programmed as a showcase of LGBTQ+ cinema to coincide with LGBT History Month.
Finally, we'd like to say a big thank you to everyone who voted in our Best of the Fest poll! Interest wqas so high, in fact, that young people were bounding up to Into Film staff at Festival events asking for hints about which film was winning!
We'd love to know why you made your choices, and there's still time to submit a review to our Into Film Festival Review Writing Competition before the 10 December deadline for a chance to win great prizes for your Into Film Club or class.
