Into Film Clubs
Find out everything you need to know about starting an Into Film Club.
The 2016 Into Film Festival runs between 9 - 25 November, and we're launching a brand new Festival review writing competition to help make the event even more engaging.
The Into Film Festival is designed to bring new and interesting films to young people that can engage them and support their learning, while contributing to their cultural, creative and personal development. We hope that all of our attendees - students and educators alike - will have an amazing experience and discover a film that inspires them.
There are more films than ever at the 2016 Into Film Festival, and we want to know what you think of them! Tell us, in no more than 300 words, and you could win some amazing prizes for your class. You can review as many films as you'd like, as long as you saw them as part of the Festival programme. Just don't forget to tell us which film you're reviewing please!
Reviews are welcome from every Festival attendee. All entries will be reviewed by our education team, and winners will be chosen from the following categories:
To enter, download and complete the entry form below and send back to us by Friday 9 December 2016.
You can send your entries free of charge to: Into Film Festival Review Writing Competition, FREEPOST RTAE-BAZG-CSZZ, FILMCLUB Damasco House, 31 Islington Green, London N1 8DU
The Audio-Description Review category is kindly supported by the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB). We appreciate that audio-description is an art form in itself and we are keen to know how it worked with the film and if it improved the experience at all.
Entries in to this category should be submitted as outlined above, but will be judged by the RNIB.
It's always great to hear from experts and learn from the best so we asked two leading film critics - Anna Smith, Contributing Editor at Elle and chair of the Critics' Circle Film Section, and Charles Gant, Film Editor and chief film critic for Heat magazine - for their top five tips for aspiring young film reviewers. Read their top tips below to help get you started!
