Into Film Clubs
Find out everything you need to know about starting an Into Film Club.
The Into Film Festival is officially back and we're very excited to announce that bookings are now live! For so much of the last year and a half, we have all been deprived of the big screen experience, so it's a joy to once again be able to offer free screenings and special events to young people and teachers across the UK. Events are already booking up quickly, so be sure to book yours as soon as you can!
This year's Festival programme features over 65 titles, including exclusive previews of Sir Kenneth Branagh's Belfast, an ode to his own childhood in Northern Ireland, and Captains of Zaatari, an astonishing documentary about football-obsessed young people living in a refugee camp in the Middle-East. We're also proud to present Journey Of A Film, a short film demystifying the film industry which has been created for us by BAFTA exclusively for the Into Film Festival.
We'll also have exciting live events to be announced soon, alongside screenings of the latest blockbusters, beloved old favourites, stimulating documentaries, animated adventures, modern foreign language titles, and much, much more. The exciting programme offers something for everyone, including dynamic titles such A Quiet Place Part II, Peter Rabbit, Limbo, I Am Greta, Dear Evan Hansen and 1917.
All films and events are mapped against curricula from across the four UK nations and are accompanied by Into Film resources.
The strands for this year's Into Film Festival are:
The Festival will work a little differently this year, as attendee safety is our highest priority and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the need to proceed with caution when organising public events. As such, we are limiting each screening to just one school group, with the aim of preventing different groups from mixing. This means that this year we will only be able to offer school groups the chance to book tickets to ensure that we can give as many young people as possible the chance to once again enjoy the cinema experience.
We have also implemented a minimum booking size for each event. The minimum booking size will be 15% of the screen capacity on average, with the actual number visible on the booking form for each event. We encourage schools to book as many seats as they can to help allow for the highest number of children and young people to benefit from this year's Festival.
Find out about our COVID-19 guidelines, how to book places, attending the Festival itself, accessibility and more on our Festival FAQs page. You can also download our Into Film Festival Guides - which are tiered by age group, and include a version for SEN schools and an Event Safety Plan - which will help you plan your visit and get the most out of your unique cinema experience.
Remember - places will fill up very fast, so be sure to explore this year's programme and get your events booked as soon as possible. We can't wait to welcome as many of you as possible back to the Into Film Festival in November!
