This resource is the first part in the series of three based on exclusive Into Film Behind The Scenes interviews when Jess visits Aardman Animations, and speaks to the producers and writers of the film. They reveal why they felt that Shaun deserved his own movie, as well as the various challenges involved in bringing his story to the big screen. Jess explores the difficulty of making a feature film without any dialogue, and also meets the story-boarders behind the film, discovering just how much work goes into creating each of Shaun's adventures.
This resource will help to explore the work that goes into making a film, and invite primary students to consider what goes into creating a good, memorable story for the screen. Download the accompanying resources part 2, Shaun the Sheep: Making your movie and part 3, Shaun the Sheep: Secret of sound from www.intofilm.org/resources.
We have developed a large catalogue of educational resources since launching in 2013, and some references and terminology will inevitably have dated as society and language evolves. We are aware of this and will be updating resources when our production schedule allows.
