Synopsis

After his appearance in ‘The LEGO® Movie’, the caped crusader returns for his very own LEGO® adventure. After Batman stops the Joker and other Gotham supervillains from destroying the city, Joker decides to seek revenge. With a new Police Commissioner in place – Gordon’s daughter, Barbara – who is trying to make it so that the police can function without Batman’s help, Joker spots his opportunity. He surrenders himself to the police and captures almost every other supervillain too (apart from Harley Quinn), meaning that Batman is no longer needed to fight crime. Batman, with the help of his new adopted son Dick Grayson, who becomes his sidekick Robin, attempts to put into action a plan to prove his worth to the city of Gotham as well as putting an end to Joker’s antics once and for all. ‘The LEGO® Batman Movie’ is a funny spin on the Batman story which contains themes including family, teamwork, and identity.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
