When an unarmed black man is shot dead by police officers after an altercation, it leaves a Brooklyn neighbourhood shaken, leading to investigations and a series of protests. Uniquely structured and split into three chapters, the film follows how the event affects the lives of three black men: a young man who witnessed the incident and is torn on whether to speak up and release footage he filmed on his mobile phone; a school athlete with a promising career ahead of him but which conflicts with his growing interest in activism; and a sympathetic police officer facing difficult questions about his job and police brutality. This is an insightful look at an ongoing topical issue, focusing on the many ways anti-black racism impacts the lives of a community and which asks difficult yet important questions about finding a solution.
Documentary about the police shooting of Mark Duggan and its impact on his family, friends and the wider community.
