Synopsis

This hugely popular British comedy follows the fortunes of a group of former steel workers in Sheffield who, after the steel industry shuts down, are made redundant and are soon in desperate need of money. With no work on the horizon, their situations look bleak but when struggling father Gaz and his best friend Dave discover just how popular a male strip show can be, they plan to put on a singular performance and reap the rewards. However, setting out to recruit a group of like-minded men, all with individual troubles of their own, comes with its own set of problems. This cheeky, evergreen British comedy comes with heaps of silly entertainment whilst also exploring elements of class, poverty and male friendship in the face of adversity.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
